Something For Everyone

Choose Among Workshops, Guided Jams, and One-on-Ones

to build your own schedule

Thursday

October 31, 2019

New for the Fall Frolic, we are giving you the option to come early!

You're invited to come to the Lodge Thursday around 2:00pm to explore, relax, visit, and start jamming!

Frank & Allie will provide your dinner & evening snacks on Thursday and breakfast & lunch on Friday.

The programming will be optional, loose, and flexible -  based on your interests. Perhaps we'll just stick close to the Lodge.

Or maybe we'll take an excursion to the Road to Nowhere or the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a hike!

In the evening, Frank & Allie will host a Listening Party at the Lodge.

From Friday evening through Sunday morning, there will be 11 different 90-minute workshops. Workshops will take place upstairs in the room pictured.

Workshops are typically hands-on and interactive. They will be instrument-specific for the most part, though a few might be more topical.

Workshop titles from past Frolics include "Round Peak Roundup", "Basics of Bowing," "Beginning Fiddle," "Appalachian Banjo Styles," "Backup Rhythm Guitar," and "Carter Family Songs."

Workshop titles and descriptions will be announced here and on our Facebook Event Page.

Come and go as you please, and choose whichever aspects of the program appeal to you most. Feel free to start a jam of your own, or take some time to yourself to practice.

Or take a walk around the beautiful Land's Creek Cabins Property, or take a short drive to town to see what Bryson City has to offer. The Frolic is a retreat, whatever that means for you!

The weekend will wrap up with a group picture after lunch on Sunday, around 1:00pm.

"Between the one-on-ones, the jams, the camaraderie, good food, really good teachers, and, of course, the constant presence of Frank and Allie Lee making sure everything ran smoothly -

"I couldn't have asked for a better experience and well worth the money."

"It was only 3 days, but the Banjo-Fiddle Frolic made a huge impact on me and my quest to learn the fiddle.
